got a hand full of p dogs moving into where we had old town years ago....since its so dry and kinda pulled in the horns and wait and see if it rains. decided not do anything today so dug out a rifle and took kids with me to whack some dogs...afraid i might be a little rusty havent shot for quite some time.. but nope still got it[8D] kids where impressed when half a p dog goes many feet in the air....8 p dogs with ten shots..they was aways out there and had to change brands of shell after four shots...ie, run out of rem's and switched to winny's and had to aim just a tad lower with them [8D]

Except I did use to crash my bike sometimes......
I know that P-Dogs cause damage and dangerous situations for cattle, etc., but I really envy you that you can go "right out the front door", so to speak, and have such fun! Wish I had that kind of opportunity[:(]
Sounds like you had a blast, did/do any of the "kids" shoot with you? Teach 'em young, teach 'em right!
my kids are just getting to that age....they in fact won a very nice old winchester 22wrf from BDJ but we didnt take that today as i figured there would only be a hand full of shots and i wanted to make sure there was dead p dogs and also that they would be long shots...i'll get to neighbors dog where they can shoot soon...the one i could shoot right here from my computer out the front window
Got a little present for the kids I'm bringing this fall that should solve the distance problem.
hell if the pheasant numbers are not that great there is damn sure enough of them p dogs....they are really moving around this year see them running down a road and i know there is not a p dog town for several miles.....bad thing is i cant imagine a sticky ole p dog be much good for eating though[:D] if pheasant numbers are low
