    Dear Brett:
Johnny Unitas retired, he was too old to play well any more.
Dan Marino retired, he was too old.
Time to retire, Brett. Don't embarass yourself any more than you already have.

    Signed,
    Allen

How many times do we have to watch this man cry over his newest retirement on the news.

I'll beat that offer, I'll stay retired for only one million dollars! I'll even hold Bretts hand and pass him hankies while he cries. I wouldn't do that for just anyone.[8D]

If he goes to the Vikes the curse will continue and Brett will go down in infamy.[V]

Kind of leads me to believe something has been going on behind the sidelines for many years and now he is getting his payback.

This whole thing is really unfortunate for Farve. Losing alot of respect, what a travisty. At this point in time it's a no win situation no matter what happens. Greed, bad advise or whatever it's a real shame.

I agree asop. A wonderful career turns tarnished.

On a brighter note I have sent this post to my supervisor and have graciously offered to leave for a measly $500K. That's the kind of devoted employee I am!
It's too late for me, save yourself.

$20M to retire is a ripoff. I'll retire for $10M

I have followed Favre's career since the very beginning.
I have the geographic misfortune of being a Falcons fan.
I remember, back in the last century, the Falcons had drafted "this wild kid from Mississippi."
He held a lot of promise. He played a little his rookie year.
Falcons being Falcons, he was dumped after one season.

I was very interested to watch this Falcons castoff rise to the pinnacle of NFL stardom in one of the great NFL cities, Green Bay.
I have always admired and respected Brett Favre.

With his "I will retire. No, I won't retire, pay me money" crap of the past few years I have lost a lot of respect for the guy.
Maybe he has started hitting the Vicodin again.

I wish they would trade him to the Brewers, they need a pitcher.
