I have choosen my close friends carefully. Most are into firearms and Tactical Defense Shooting. Although I shun no man who I give a chance to prove himself. I am wondering AM I ALONE? Remember to spell out FRIEND ON YOUR STRONG HAND and friend on your weak hand to know the differance. I do. I count on my FRIENDS as they know they can count on ME. I HAVE 4 and you?

    Just shoot it!

Stuck at work on this Independence Day, but making good use of my time watching a Band of Borthers marathon on DVD with my coworkers!

Happy Independence Day to you all!

Been enjoying it again on History Channel? I sure have. Great realism. You duck a little when incoming small arms rounds sing.

Who else is watching this tonight. Toye and Gaurnerre (SP) just got hit in the arty fire. Man, this series is something else.

Has anyone else on this board been following this series? I know, liberal extraordinaire Steven Speilberg has a hand in it, but I've been watching this every episode and it really does give me a new sense of appreciation for what those men and women went through, not only then, but all the things our nations' military have had to deal with. Whether it's in the countryside of Europe, the jungles of Southeast Asia, or the deserts of the Middle East these soldiers are a long way from home, and it's my hope that we as a nation continue to support their efforts through this latest challenge. Not only with signs of patriotism but with our prayers as well.

I like it.I've always been a WWII history buff, and find realism in seeing GI's depicted doing a few ugly things, and alot of friendly fire deaths. A few battle scenes have been done well enough to put you on the edge of your seat. The one thing that sticks out in my mind from the series, if a real portrayal, is that hand grenades seem to do as much damage to you as they do to the bad guys.
