Heckuva nice day with my Rem 597 22 HMR

The 597 ate everything I fed it from 3 different magazines and ammo from CCI, Remington, and Hornady. The gunshop guy said the CCI loads for everyone so just buy the cheapest. Anyone know different?

Used a Shepard scope, zero'd the crosshairs at 100 yards, set the 150 yard ring over a group at 200 yards as proscribed by the maker Shepard since the scope wae set up for the 22 magnum.

    So is the 22 HMR like a necked-up 17 HMR?

    I didn't even think 22 HMR. The Shepard scope was set up for the 22 Magnum but came with instructions how to use it with the 17HMR cartridge.

    Now I see that the topic was posted incorrect. S/B 17HMR Thanks sincerely for your help.
