    dheffley this is a recipe from my Mennonite Cook Book published in 1950. 66 lbs ground beef33 lbs ground pork5 lbs salt5 lbs white sugar1/3 lb. pepper2 oz. saltpeter (from your drug store.}Mix thoroughly and stuff tightly in muslim sacks. Hang in cellar, or a cool place for 1 to 2 weeks then smoke.Let dry 6-8 weeks before using.If you have trouble converting the amounts and weights just ask.When it's finished don't forget to ask me by for a taste!
