WOLVES ARE KILLERS!

In a press release by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), wolves have been labeled "inhumane killers and murderers of the innocent". PETA, an organization known for their anti-meat agenda and campaigns to end animal experimentation, has taken an official -- albeit controversial -- stand on the eating habits of the genus canis. PETA is no stranger to controversy. PETA members have publicly acknowledged being involved in many protests and occasional activities involving civil disobedience, including liberating laboratory animals to prevent them from being subjected to tests. PETA spokesperson Hans Graineater was the author of a position paper which led up to the latest press release. In part, it reads: "Each year, millions of snowshoe hairs, bunnies, sheep, mice, barnyard kitties and other cute furry animals are pursued, subjected to the most vile torture, and then slaughtered by thousands of European wolves, American timber wolves and coyotes around the world. This horrible deed is usually done so the wolves can consume the poor creatures, but not always. Wolves often hunt in gangs, and sometimes they kill just for fun. Fuzzy bunny running for it's life"These actions are a cruel travesty. PETA is going to engage in a new campaign, to educate the wolf population that non-animal protein is better suited for health." A day after PETA's press release, the Wild Wolf Federation (WWF) called a press conference to answer these charges of cruelty and unnecessary slaughter. The WWF's spokesperson, who would only identify himself as 'Rubin', had this to say: "Once again, PETA is displaying their complete and utter ignorance of the real world. Wolves are carnivores, dammit! We have the canine teeth to prove it . . . as does every member of PETA. If they choose to not use their canines, that's their business. Good luck to them. Their personal choices do not, however, give them the right to decide for the WWF -- or any individual wolf -- whether or not we use ours." The WWF[This message has been edited by alledan (edited 11-11-2001).]

But don't those peta idiots realize that plants SCREAM when they are cut for food? Just 'cause we can't hear the scream doesn't mean it isn't there. On the other hand a good well placed bullet in a tasty animal elicets no scream, it just gives me a good tasty animal.
