    Yeah I had that one down and then had to re-learn it this way during a "career change":adam, boy, charles, david, edward, frank, george, henry, ida, john, king, lincoln, mary, nora, ocean, paul, queen, robert, sam, tom, union, victor, william, x-ray, young, zebra.Sometimes Ihear the long-served military guys throw in some of the military phonetics in their radio traffic. It always makes me smile.

    Hotel, Motel. I like that. 0 = Black1 = Brown2 = Red3 = Orange4 = Yellow5 = Green6 = Blue7 = Violet8 = Gray9 = WhiteThere is a really bad and racist way to remember that which I will not repeat. However, I've never forgotten it just because it was so outrageous.

    Is there some reason that LEO's don't use the military phonetic alphabet? I was under the impression that a majority of LOE's were prior service? Does it really make a difference....ALPHA....ADAM....i think they both get the point across.

    I was on a home check when I worked in Work Release Program and got the dispatcher laughin so hard cause I couldn't for the life of me remember Alpha. I was using apple, avacado, artichoke, anchovi....... The other counselor with me never let me live that one down. I still call him every now and then and laugh about it..
