A hybred cat that is a cross between an African Servil and a domestic cat, usually a more exotic breed such as a bengal, ocicat, or mau.Savannahs get up to around 35-40 lbs. Good size kitty.

40lbs!!! The little 4 or 5lb critters are dangerous enough, you ever try givin one a bath!? 40lbs?! Can you imagine what would happen if any dog was stupid enough to try and chase one?!

Or a vulnerable, uninformed simian type!Maine * (breed of cat) get purty large too.BTW, Munkey, I finish the core section of A+ tomorrow night. I've got an A right now, hope I can make good enough on the final to hang on to it. I also got an internship with my company's IT dept.

Maine * don't get that big -- we have 3 of 'em. The largest a male Maine * typically gets is about 18 lbs, unless it is grossly overweight.

Well, the typical house cat is around 8-10. So a Maine * is about twice as large. I didn't say it was as big as the 40 pounder, just "purty large".

I've a miniature schnauzer who just loves to chase pussies and squirrels. He hasn't caught one yet but keeps on trying.

Great Pelican, that must be for Saxon! I have a Mau, and she is about all I can handle. I should think if you cross a serval with a bengal, which is out crossed to the wild bengal cat, you could come up with something with very few domestic genes. Disposition might be a bit of a problems. I have known a couple of Safari cats, which are domestic/Goeffrey's cat hybrids. They are very easy to deal with as long as they get their way, and they make sure they always get their way!

Hey HeDog. The pix is not really my cat but I have one that is the spittin' image expect fo the white paws. He also has the same attitude. When we got him as a kitten my wife called him Snookums. When he topped out at 18 lbs I shortened it to SNOOK.I have run the web checkin' on these Savannahs. Looks like an F1 male (50% Servil) is gonna run about 3500 bucks. From what I've been able to ascertain they are a bit demanding as a pet (but then what cat isn't). Dogs have masters. Cats have staff. I just think it would be really neat to have a 40 lb house cat. Guess I'm weird.
