Come September 29 it's 46 years for me. The only thing I don't like about it is sleeping with a grandmother. It's also the best thing ever happened to me.

Saxon, I am truly honored. At my age sin is a lot tamer than it once was, and the tax breaks are better this way for now, but we will do it one day, and I will likely call you if we are both still here.

HOW MANY TIMES, OR TOTAL YEARS?

It will be 29 years next December 7th. I picked that date so that I wouldn't forget the anniversary date. Every time they show "Tora,Tora,Tora" on TV, I know it's my anniversary. Haven't forgotten yet.

The first Mrs NJRETCOP and I were married for 28 wonderful years, before cancer put an end to it in 1991. I miss her now every bit as much as I did then.

Congratulations to you and your lady. Be sure to tell her everyday that you love her, you never know how life will turn out.

It will be 21 years come Dec. 5th. (in case your wondering, we had to get the parents as well as the states permission to marry so young....)

njretcop, as previously stated, I give my Bride a little extra squeeze in remembrance of your loss. I must say, I am encouraged by your post more ways than one.

BTW congratulations! If I'm not mistaken a firearm is the proper gift for the first anniversary, buy her one she'll like!

Congrats jastr, I also have an aproaching anniversary, well it's a little ways off yet. Aug 11th. You are right about the time flying by, although I suppose it makes a bit of difference when you're deployed for 6 of those months. One thing I did find rather cool was the fact that my grandparents had their 50th anniversary 2 days after we got married.

May I suggest a matching set of engraved his/hers Kimber's?

It will be 19 years this Nov. She loves me good, and I try to keep her happy. I love to make her laugh when we dance. I think first year Anniversary gift is a shotgun. I've gotten her flyrods, shotguns, a tattoo, a rototiller, and a Navy opentop conversion .38. Oh yeah - a few cards and Flowers.

Hey Saxon, I told her last night about your offer, and she said, "Lord, does that mean we would have to drive to Arkansas to do it?" I suggested we meet half way, say at the OKC gun show. Crackee her up, geting married at a gun show. But, think of the oportunities for buying wedding gifts!!!

I have been married about 22 years now, but not always to the same woman. #3 seems to be a keeper.

At first I thought you were refering to your anniversary as a GunBroker Forum member.....Mrs Rembrandt (native of West Virginia) chased me until I finally caught her in 1974...I put shoes on her and made her the mother of our two wonderful sons. Now Grandma and Grandpa Rembrandt are enjoying the benefits of grandchildren...

Well Mrs Bikr and I have 22 years in last January. As other have said before, time has flown by, and it honestly does get sweeter with time. No regrets here.
