Maybe my sense of style has gone stale, but I think GLocks are really neat looking guns! Not as many bells and whistles as a Beretta or Sig, but Simple and nice. Check out some neat ones at www.arotek.com

You all are crazy!

Cast your ballots. I vote Glocks look good.

There are some things that there are so such thing as:
    1. There is no such thing as a good looking newborn baby bird.
    2. There is no such thing as good looking roadkill.
    3. There is no such thing as good looking lung cancer
    4. There is no such thing as a good looking Glock.

I own two of 'em and I'm gonna buy more. I like them. I like the way they look and I like the way they shoot. Maybe you pretty boys need a fancy-shmancy pistol...maybe you also wear lace panties.

Glocks, like any other handguns are good looking, or ugly, depending on which end you are looking at!!! Just ask Dano, Nunn or a few other LEO's on here.

I have seen pretty guns. But I would not want to carry one.
I have shoot Glocks and I would carry, and do carry one.
Don't care if it's pretty. I want it to work.
Used to travel in Baja a lot. Was talking to a Mexician police officer and he had a real pretty nickel plated semi. I asked him about it, and he said he liked it, but is almost always jammed.
    Enough said.

They are nothing but "Tactical Tupperware" I love to see workmanship in guns, and that means Fine woodwork and metalwork.
My vote would go to a nice Colt or my favorite being the Kimber.

I understand that Glocks are top of the line pistols. My problem with them is
    1.They're so damn ugly
2.They point too high because of the lousy grip design.
That said I don't mean to insult any Glock lover. It just doesn't work for me.

I like Shar Peis and Bull Terriers, and I didn't buy my first Glock until the torture testing had all produced glowing reviews. Glocks are damn efficient tools and maybe they're so ugly they're handsome, I don't know, but I've had many and rarely a problem with any of them. They shoot so well out of the box I almost forget to break them in any more. They're so reliable with factory ammo I never have to worry about a jam, though I know how to clear a stovepipe anyway.

I know there are prettier guns (if such a thing means anything) and I frankly think my ported Star PD in the stainless with Pachmayrs is prettier. I think the design of my .45 Millennium is "cooler looking." But when it comes to a business tool to rely on, I'll drop the Glock into my holster, thanks. If you think it points funny you may not have practiced enough with it, because the lesser recoil usually allows practiced shooters to hit the target faster, more often. And those still shooting after hundreds of thousands of rounds stories, and those dropped from a helicopter stories, and those left in water for months stories? All true. I get a kick out of the critics though, but not the way they imagine.

If Glock had rounded the slide, made mags from metal to enable a thinner grip and gave it a grip shape like the Browning HiPower then
one might say it's a good looking pistol. As it stands, it's plumb
U G L Y but the proof of the puddin is in the shootin and that's why it's so popular.

I personally dont mind the way the glocks look... I especially like the way they sight up.. Maybee thats why I have my sig.. I like the squared slide alot... The thing that bugs me the most about the glocks is the 2 stage trigger. I have heard of replacements for this....so if I ever bought one that would be a must.

They are a tool - I can look at a shovel and say it is ugly, but it does the job. I don't like lookin at shovels and I don't like diggin holes, a pretty shovel is still a hole digger. Am I diggin a hole here?

Shootist, I think you are full of c**p! Glocks don't weigh enough to be useful as boat anchors, unless the boats are toys.

Glocks are Ugly too, but my Grendal is uglier.

In the first place you could use Glock's entrenching tool to bury a Glock until you needed it, then dig it up and bet your life on it.

Second, Rugers are okay I guess as long as you know you get what you pay for. Personally, I would rate Ruger semi-autos very low in the beauty department, but that's just me. If I have only $300 to spend I can find a lot of guns I'd rather buy.

Third, many guns parts are dishwasher safe, and I have heard of shooters using dishwashers to clean gun parts long before Glocks were a glint in Gaston's eye. It's not however, a practice I've indulged in.

    I have a pug and a Glock! I guess I like UGLY! :)

p.s. Ruger pistols suck! I bought one for my dad and the safety stuck so bad he returned it for repair. Several weeks later he got it back and it STILL doesn't work right.

I like ruger rifles but I think their pistols are junk!

I too like the Ruger Minis, although I hear they're not tack drivers. Frankly, I'm just glad there's still a rifle (really a carbine) being made that we may still be able to own once the liberals get done banninga all the "black" rifles. Unless, of course, your Mini has a composite stock in which case that will probably scare them, too.

By the way, real men like ugly guns. You pearl-handled, over-scrolled, buttons-and-levers, over-customized racegun & antique lovers will just have to keep practicing your drawing postures while we're out carrying tools for defense.

I admit a recent sidetrack into "pretty gun"-ism -- Angelina Jolie looked so hot shooting those twin compensated longslide HKs in Tomb Raider that I'm thinking of buying one for myself. But I wouldn't be tempted if I didn't know how good a gun H&K makes. Those USP-based guns are very smartly designed and featured firearms, I think. It would be funny if the H&K was so good, I wound up with a new carry preference. One thing I'm not is closed-minded.

I never really thoughts of Glocks as ugly or not ugly. I just know I love the things, and own five myself. They may not shine as purty as that bright nickle plated Jennings I saw at the pawn shop for $99.99, but I wouldn't want to carry anything else. To each his own, I guess.
