Maybe the following story will shed some light on this most important question:
Myself and a friend of mine decided to take a fishing trip to Canada after we were discharged from the Army, having both bveen stationed in South Korea at the same time. We were about 23 or 24 at the time. Pabooger who was about 16 or 17 at the time went with us. I drove about 800 miles up into Canada to a place between Hearst and Lonlac, Ontario with small cabins owned by a man that lived back home near us at one time. There was fantastic fishing for Northern Pike and brook trout. The man let us use his boat at no charge. We stayed for a week in the beautiful Canadian wilderness and fished and caught lots of fish every day. He gave us moose meat to eat at no charge. This was in the first part of June. The man asked pabooger if he would stay the summer and help him in his guide business and that he would be able to fish all the time and he would pay him and let him stay free in one of the cabins and provide him with meals at no charge. I told him he should stay and I would drive another 800 miles again at the end of August and bring him home. Pabooger said he couldn't because he had to go home to be with his girlfriend. Now I ask all of you, does this sound like someting that a true-blue outdoorsmen would do?[:D][:D][:D]

Now, Pa, in defence, can you tell us how long the romance lasted? In hindsight, did you make a wrong decision? [;)]

HOWEVER - at that age, I thought being in the wilderness, hunting, fishing and scouting new country was the ideal thing to do (always read up on and admired the old Mountain Men). I would have been torn in so many pieces trying to make a decision, chances are I would have destructed on the spot. That is, unless the camp owner's daughter was interesting looking and acting! [:D]

Hey Blackie tell em how many cars wrecks you were in between the ages of 16 and 24!!!![:D] I remember the time you came home with corn stalks sticking out of the grill, the fender wells the trunk, corn stalks every where!!! Hmmmmm
Oh and weren't you the one who drove into the side of an oil tank?
Or how about the time you went into the bar in shinglehouse and asked them for a venison burger a week after they had just got fined for selling deer meat?
Or how about the time we climbed that big hill by the blueberry patch and your little brother shot the deer and you pouted all the way home because I didn't wait for you to drag your fat * up the hill before I shot!

Since you never gonna catch him, ya gonna shame him, right?[:I]
Here's a thought. Be glad you got someone to remember what you did 30 years ago. It's a good thing.
