[:(] A few weeks ago, a friend of the family (Fred DeMieo) that was a Marine in 1943-45 he passed from complications of surgery at the age of 84 he served our country with honor. Anyway he had a bunch of copies of "Leatherneck" magazine from WW II. When I get a chance I will photograph some of the cool articles and snipets from the front lines, and post them. I got a bunch of Time Magazine from the same era. Better than any history book (in todays world) IMHO. [:)]

It's sad to hear of one of our links to the past passing on. But don't mourn his passing too much. I'm willing to bet he lived a life fuller and richer than any of us can imgaine.

That, and as R. Lee Ermey said in "Full Metal Jacket", "God has a real hard-on for Marines." So I'm sure he's in good hands.
