I just saw Dick Gephardt on C-SPAN. He was talking about how if you want a tax cut, you should consider what will suffer.
I wasnt paying that much attention, but he compared the members of congress to "higher ups" in the church, and said something to the effect that
The congress members are like the superiors in the church, and the people are like the flock. And giving a tax cut to the people without explaining what they mean is like church superiors not telling their flock about child molesting priests.
I have heard these guys stoop to some pretty low levels, but this has gotta take the cake.

Has Dick Gephardt ever worked a day in his life doing manual labor or for that matter how many other career politicians, who know best, have done anything by the sweat of their brow? These guys talk like royalty addressing their subjects. Maybe we have gotten too used to licking the hands that feed us.......soon it will be their boots.

I agree with you on Gephardt being a skunk, and so is Daschle.

These guys get in DC and lose touch with reality.

Problem is, how do you get them out of office? The voters in their districts are swayed by the pork that's thrown their way, and keep re-electing them! (Exception being Gary Condit).

salzo, I often disagree with you in degree if not view, and I must again . . . Gephardt is far lower than an honest skunk. I can't begin to describe his DNA in a 'PG' forum. Let's just say that, for starters, I flush better material than he into the septic tank every day.

He cant really be from Missouri, I think he probably migrated up from Arkansas. I know guys that are die-hard gun nuts, they spit and cuss whenever someone mentions gun control but come election time they vote straight democratic ballots. Anyway this Missouri boy didn't vote for his *.

I really must protest this compairing Gephardt to a skunk. Skunks may smell bad, but they are interesting little creatures. The only thing I will ever find interesting about Gephardt is the day the fine people of Missouri finally toss his worthless liberal butt aside.

Comparing Gepfart to a skunk! How dare you insult the skunks, the only thing I can compare him and his * hole buddy daschle too is my comforting moments on my throne, and flushing them down the toilet.

You know, the Dems have control of the Senate, and haven't done a damn thing yet like they said they were going to do when they got control of it. What a bunch of Bulls %$#.

The only agenda that they have is to bash Bush.
