Tim at classicchecker@bellsouth.net cut a modified Dale Goens pattern at 22 Line per inch in the walnut of my 582 Remington. I did the stock reshaping, finishing and the inletting but the really beautiful work was done by Tim. The photos do not do it justice. He did this job for 185 bucks, shipped and insured. I highly recommend him.

Where did you get the walnut stock?
They are hard to come by, rosie. I found this one here on GB. The metal was rough but I could see the stock was the real McCoy. Still paid a premium for the dang thing. The perfect barrel/action I got in Bozeman, it had a beech stock.
