Don't worry about the bullet with your name on it, worry about the fragmentation grenade addressed 'To Occupant'.

I actually saw one of these in action quite a few years back.A+++ for the cool factor and the rarity factor but as far as accuracy goes it gets an F.The man who brought his to a local shoot would only fire one "Rocket" every so many hours for display purposes as the ammo for those suckers dont come easy.

I read about this gun in the Weekly Reader in elementary school when the gun first came out, way before the age of PC. I always wondered what became of it. Now I can actually buy one! Let me see, I should have that much walking around money in my wallet...

i saw this on the history channel's "tales of the gun" apparently the "bullet" didnt reach full velocity untill about 25 feet from the muzzle. it also said you could fire the gun, blocking the muzzle with your hand and it would stop the projectile and do you no harm.

Other than fireworks, what was the purpose of this rocket launching pistol?

Reminds me of the time I went to watch some guys set off back yard fireworks, and one of the rockets went directly, 90 degrees sideways at launch, hitting the neighbor's utility barn.

I saw a never-fired mint-condition Gyro Jet in a pawn shop in Columbia, SC last summer. They were asking $2500 for it.
