I don't remember that I ever had one of those.
I have a couple of beautiful J.C. Higgins model 20s.
One's beautiful because it's almost completely worn shiny by my dad's own hands. It was a first anniversary gift to him from my mother and the only shotgun he ever carried.
The other is beautiful because it's in like new condition.
From the wear on the slide, I'd say it hasn't had more than 2 boxes of shells through it in it's 50+ years.
I DO have an old "Outers" cleaning kit in the all metal case with the original oil can.
    Does that count??

I don't have a J.C. Higgins kit, but I do have a Revelation kit for 30 caliber guns. It has a metal oil bottle, and all the stuff inside. Revelation was the hardware store brand. I don't know who made it. Stanman, I just bought a J.C. Higgins model 20 12ga. It's all steel and walnut(my favorites), raised rib, smooth action. The barrel had been cut down a little, so it is open choke. The shop let it go for just $95. I can't pass up a bargain.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

I saw a J.C. Higgins kit at an auction the other night. It was with 4 or 5 Outer's kits and I didn't want to deal with all of them. The kit was in a black tin, don't know for what caliber. Probably should have bought it to display with my Model 31 that is about 95% or more.

    Don't have a "Higgins" kit,but this shook
my memory a little about the one I have that's
in a red, cardboard tube that slips apart in the middle
and looks like a stick of dynamite.

Still have the red one. Think I have had it about 48 years.
