Need Help with Franchi 48 AL

I recently purchased a Franchi 48 AL 20 gauge here on Gunbroker. I loaded two shells into the magazine to be sure that a plug was installed. When I work the action, the magazine does not release a shell. Is this normal and if so, how do you unload the magazine tube? Thanks

Look for the release next to the trigger housing and push it. If you fired it, they would cycle but just using the action I think you have to push that release to send the next shell down from the mag tube. It may be on the side of that gun instead of trigger housing. Good Luck

Turn gun bottom faceing up.Push down shell carrier. There will be a shell stop lever on your left.Depress it and the shells will come out one at a time.Sounds like a lot of trouble,But you will get use to it very soon.I have had two of then for over thirty yrs and love them.If I can help contact me at jron@ijntb.net.Varmit
