Anybody have one of these? I just bought my dad one in 9mm. I got the two-tone stainless version. I've only shot one of these once, and it seemed like a well-built pistol. Thoughts?G36

I bought one 2 years ago. two davidson's special. Never had a misfire, or FTE. Have put all kinds of ammo though it I eats it all up and wants more. Not the 1st Ruger i have had, and probably not the last. Only thing I didn't like was the grip panels. Added hogue wrap arounds. Now, for me...it is perfect. Also have it in .40cal. Next gun purchase will be the P97

Thanks Fep. I was wondering if anybody was going to answer my question or show any interest in a gun-related item. Seems that GB has become more of a BS forum than a hunting/shooting forum!G36

I got a reply for concealed and for supermonkey....The Rugers are GREAT guns for the money. I got a P89 with over 3k rounds through and not one jam. FEP is right, get the hogue grips. They improve grip significantly. By the way, if nobody answers your post, It may have been that a lot of people postd new messages right fter you, bumping yours to the bottom or next page, thus no one sees it. Happens to me all the time! Hey SUPER, it is D*$% hard to give away a gun. Here's how i did it. I bought a Remington 870 for a friend, as a housewarming gift. It was Beautiful! 12gauge, 28inch vent rib, new condition, $185. Looked like it was fired only once or twice. Anyhow, it had my friend go to the FFL's house with me, and pick it up before I did. If not, it would never have left my hands.

Hey Monkey,I'm actually trying to encourage people I know, including family, to take advantage of the Michigan CCW law. I feel that the more people that apply for the CCW permit, the better chance we have of building a solid pro-RKBA base in this state. One organization here, the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Ownership encourages it's members (of which I am one) to get involved and get their friends and family to apply for the CCW. And, remember, just because you have the permit doesn't mean you HAVE TO carry a weapon. Anyway, my dad has told me several times that he will apply for the CCW but he needs a pistol to take to the training class. I can't let him take mine (against state law) so I'm helping him get one of his own. I will ask him to pay me back for the purchase price, but I'm throwing in the Hogue grips free (thanks for the advice on the grips guys).
