Have guns,will travel
and here is the classic
you can e-mail them at Jimmy @ Arsenal USA
Here is some more info I found at another site; The SA M-7 is a clone of the current Bulgarian issue AK, which is called the AK-47 M1. The differences are: muzzle brake, longer stock for Amrican shooters, and no "go fast position" on the selector.
The US manufactured parts are:
Receiver
Fire Control (hammer, trigger, sear)
Stock set (buttstock, pistol grip, handguard)
That's 7 parts, you only need 5 for a milled receiver, so you actually have two more US made parts to play with, if you want to replace the stocks with an import set, you can, as long as you keep the US pistol grip.
These rifles aren't really "mutts", as I said, they are close clones of the current Bulgarian rifle, which uses a mixture of older AK-47 technology and newer AK-74 technology (gas system).
Here's the Arsenal Bulgaria website. Take a look at the products they offer to military customers, then compare them to the Arsenal Inc. products from Vegas:
http://www.arsenal-bg.com/flash.htm
http://www.arsenal-bg.com/main.htm
The rifles are built using Bulgarian parts, and parts manufactured here in the US by Bulgarians on Bulgarian machinery, they just basically imported the technichans and machinery form Bulgaria.
Buy in confidence grasshopper.
I wouldn't recommend them if I didn't have firsthand experience shooting and selling them. We've sold about 50 of the 3 types of Arsenal Inc. rifles, and have yet to have a problem with any of them at all. That's a pretty good track record considering that most new firearms have some issues.
There have been two recorded cases of people breaking the gas tube lever off while trying to pull up on it, but I don't know the specifics of how it happened. Arsenal has repaired them though.
