    The ant trudged across the wide expanse of bare ground, resolute. Standing quietly, enjoying the uncluttered landscape, stood his goal, an elephant. The sun beat down and he knew he should be in the shade resting like the others but he was driven; he marched on, oblivious. Finally, his pointy little head reached the mighty foot and he started to climb, up and up, the lofty heights making him slightly dizzy with exhilaration. And then he was there. Taking a deep breath to clear his head he started to bite, once, twice, three times and more, until the elephant reached up with his trunk and grabbed him by a feeler.
    "What `n hell ya doin' ya little wart?"
    "I'm biting you."
    "It doesn't hurt. You're just being a damn nuisance. Why do you persist."
    "Because I can."
    "Oh," said the elephant, and sniffed.
