Does anybody have a reading on the Greensboro gunshow- number of tables, prices, availability of milsurp? Are there any good gunshops in the area for a C&R guy? Thanks for any info.

The Greensboro show is one of the better ones in the area. Prices are same as always, know what you want and what you want to pay for it. I was at a table at the last one and was pretty pleased. There are a couple shops in the area that are of descent size. As for C&R, I find that crew has a specific tool in mind so I can't help with the broad sweep, but you should be able to find people of like taste, we are a gun toting crew out here. There is also a good place or two in Raleigh, the show down here is smaller and not as good. Are a "welcome to the area" due?AndyEdit: There is a military rifle shoot down at the Charlotte rifle and pistol range this Saturday. Check out fnfal.com under "meetings and events" find the NC shoot topic and check it out. I will have to come through GRNSBRO to go down, so if you need a ride, I will be leaving in the wee hours but you are welcome to come. Good opp to meet a few of the locals.[This message has been edited by metz (edited 09-25-2001).]

Metz: Thanks for the information and the invitation. I'm visiting two of my kids (and the grandkids) who by happenstance both moved to the Winston-Salem area from southern Maryland. I'll be lucky to have a couple of hours Sunday afternoon (After all the good stuff is gone) to go to the gunshow. It's good to know there's a lot of shooting activity in the area. I've been trying to get my son to get more involved in shooting and I'll tell about the meet. Thanks again, Jim P.
