Gun Shops or maybe lunch...any recommendations?

Leaving on a short notice business trip early tomorrow morning, should be gone 4-5 days....any gun shops you'd recommend seeing in the Saint Louis, Missouri, southern Illinois, southern Indiana, western Kentucky and Tennessee areas? Time and distance permitting, might also have time for a quick bite to eat with any members who live in these areas....

Well, if yer gonna be in StLouis, ya should probably make an effort to stop in and see "Bob in StLouis".

To contact him, you will probably have to pop in on the board that we can't mention here.

If you travel south to Memphis, you will find great food, good blues, and a great gun shop. Guns and Ammo on Summer Ave. Best selection of all kinds of guns you could ever want to run into.

Let me know when you think you will be in town and we can do lunch. You have never had good BBQ until you have had Memphis BBQ.

Visit Dixie Gun Works in Union City. See www.dixiegunworks.com for directions. If you like black powder guns, you'll love it!

Gotta hit the sack for a little sleep before departure...if you don't mind, email your forum name and a phone that I can reach you with....should be able to let anyone know 24hours in advance if I can arrange to be in your neighborhood. If you don't hear anything, it probably didn't work out.....Thanks for the help folks!

Rembrandt - Dixie Gun Works is Great if you like black Powder, and ask them if you can go through their antique car museum. It's pretty good but not open too often. Maybe a call in advance would be good. AND - they carry Blue Wonder Products!! (Ha! Ha! - couldn't help myself...) KG

OK guys, what about Nashville? I'm gonna be there 9/12 thru 9/16 and I'm looking to purchase. How far to Union City from Nashville?

This will probably catch you after you leave, but Paducah Shooters Supply in Western KY is a good shop. Lots of guns and ammo are very reasonable prices. And after that last sales tax increas in TN, makes sense to drive on up! Only an hour north of Union City. Give me an e-mail at bhayes420@yahoo.com

Bommerang, I got within 100 miles of Memphis, ran out of time....I should be in the West Memphis area later this fall, I'll give you call....saved your number, thanks.

bhayes, missed your message, went through Paducah on the way back, darn....next time I'm in the area I'll email you.

Mopar, Haven't had any trips scheduled for Texas this year, but have passed through there several times on the way to see clients in Westlaco last couple of years.

Beekeep, email me sometime if you get a chance.
