Why do people refuse to fill an so many blanks on the profile page when they register here. Paranoia?

    Good question, hope I have a good answer....I think everyone is a little fearful of the privacy (or lack of) that the internet provides. You hear some horror stories now and then how celebrities get trashed on the net, or the information you put out gets sold to different companies for whatever reason...My reasons for anonymity are similar, being involved in a number of organizations (local, State, & National) and working with some high profile public figures, I would not like anything I said here to harm or damage the groups or people I have contact with. Don't want to leave a trail for some of the nut cases that cruise the net....
