Sitting around this morning thinking back. Guess I'm getting old. I remember when, I woke at 5:00 for breakfast and ate with the whole family, rode a stick horse that I left tied up at the back porch every night. Milked our old cow Daisy. Played cowboys and indians in the gully's. Found a watermellon in the cotton patch and ate it right there. Rode a ground slide behind old Pete and Sam our mules. Heated water in a cast iron pot outside to take a bath in. Cut wood with a cross cut saw. Went skinny dipping in the pond. Helped my mom dry apples on a peice of tin in the back yard. Slept under so many quilts I was tired when I woke up. Got my first gun. Killed my first rabbit. Wearing a carbide light on my cap. Fishing in the creek. I could go on and on......
