OK All ... Ive been dwelling on this for sometime and I want to present this without sounding like a whiner, so bear with me if you would please.

Why have I been outcast from this main group here ? Outcast meaning more never accepted, I guess. In the immortal words of Rodney Dangerfield "I don't get no respect". I have tried on numerous occasions to make contributions to this forum and all my posts / replies seem to fall on deaf ears. When I made 1 star, I mentioned it and got one reply ... that it and 2 dollars would get me a piece of chicken at KFC or something to that effect.
I really don't understand it ... musta pist someone off along the way ?

I feel I have a fair amount to offer this forum. I have been "around the block" more than once. Been a gun person my whole life (15,695+ days), hunted around the world, been in the military, given last rights, have more steel in my body than most new guns, fought cancer, fought the establishment and Im still kicking and have a good sense of humor.

Someone ... talk to me ... tell me if I dun someone wrong

    Nope..... just don't sweat the small stuff..Some on here think all new people should be spanked for speaking or something lol..

    I don't get into no pecking war..Just say what i feel some like it some don't Hell that's life..

    Stars don't mean anything to me i like to see 200 plus people looking at something i wrote or posted...1000 A+'s on here for feedback now that's something to rant and rave about not no dam stars LOL

    Lurkers notwithstanding, Tazmutt, there are so many threads that your name has so far only come across my radar a few times even though you've posted 179 times. If you look around, I think you'll find other "newcomers" to the board with about as many posts.

    Nope, it's safe to say nobody has a thing against you. Not everybody cottons to every topic. And I certainly don't expect any congrats on my stars -- we've only had a star system here for a few weeks since they upgraded the board script, and most of us aren't even sure we like the stars well enough to give 'em that much attention. I think it's safe to say we don't take the stars too seriously. Somebody noticed when I hit 2000, but I didn't ask for a party and I didn't get one. So don't feel left out. Just talk when you have something to say. Eventually it will all work out.

    Don't take it personal. I've felt the same way at times. watch to see how often your posts are read. That's how I judge if I'm being taken seriously or not.

    Sounds good to me. I'll post it again the week before the show.

    I've been wondering. Did you get a new furnace/boiler/water heater about 10 years ago? For some reason I think maybe O'banion installed it. If so I think I delivered it. I made a delivery to a taxidermy shop when I was working for Ithaca Plumbing. I remember this guy also raised pheasants.

    Some trouble makers make it on only to push people's buttons,so most here,I believe,take a wait and see attitude to new folks to find out where new posters stand,politically, or more so to get a handle on your personality.

    Shootist - What deodorant would you recommend ? I use Old Spice but am not adverse to changing if it will hepp

    Soundguy - As I posted before, I am not really new, been around since 2-2000, just don't post alot. Have been alot more active the past few months. I am on only weeknights (3rd shift at work) weekends I am way too busy and only get on the pooter a couple hrs.

    Dont sweat the small stuff and don't worry about who likes you and who doesn't. I know I have pissed a few, maybe more than a few, people off in the house but so what. If somebody says something that I disagree with or take offense too Im going to respond however I feel is appropriate. If they in turn take offense, tuff. If they cant get over then so be it. Theres an * in every croud, some crouds have more * than others and sometimes we are all guilty of being the *.

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    Taz, stars are largely a function of how much you run your mouth. Some of us don't have a lot to say but we say it a lot. There are so many posters here that stay a month or two and move on or just lurk that it takes a little while to get a feel for who is likely to see things like you do and who is likely to start a war over something you say. If you stay, if you contribute positively, you will realize one day you have been here for a while and think of some of these folks as friends, though you have never met them. AND you got a hug from Nunn which is a very good sign!

    ...Tazmutt, Don't sweat their stars (they do try to be snobs)but most don't even own a gun (just a computer). Woodsrunner and 4wheeler are legit and even "Law" don't mess with em'.
