DENVER (Dec. 27) - A sample of male DNA found on JonBenet Ramsey's underwear has been submitted to FBI investigators seven years after the 6-year-old was slain in her parents' home, the family attorney said.
''The Ramseys have a lot of hope that the DNA will solve the case,'' their lawyer, L. Lin Wood, said Friday.

Ok, who killed Jon Benet? Do you think the parents had anyhing to do with it? May be wrong but I do. Whats your thoughts?

Strange people, right at the first they hired a defense attorney. Why?

The Ramsey's are considered by most to be rich. Seems to me the first thing they would have done was post a very large reward for information leading to the murderer.

I ain't saying they did it, had something to do with it, or know who did, but something isn't adding up.

I'd bet the farm its a family member that was involved. And why after all these years are they just submitting the underwear for DNA testing?

Anybody consider the possibility that "Mom and Dad" were covering for their Son? Yep, he was about 13 or so at the time.......they had already lost a child to some other causes.......Just a "Dumb Theory!" Why would anyone consider that??????? I'm probably wrong!

I believe the father is responsible and the entire family is responsible for allowing a beautiful child to be used as she was.

I don't know where this new DNA came from, or whether they already had it and are using a new test like "mytochondrial DNA." (sp?) But in any case, the news tonight says the DNA sample "is NOT from any family member." The only odd thing about that is that nobody heard a sound all night.

I recall the talk about the open basement window, and the discounting of the idea that a spider web meant it couldn't have been used as an entry/exit (that type of spider spins a web in an hour or two).

For a long time I've wondered about someone from the neighborhood. The note left behind sounded to me like either a kid's fantasy, or an alcoholic or addict's loose touch with reality, and the handwriting did not look right-handed to me; it looked like a back-handed left hander could also have written it.

I hope the DNA test produces something. I don't care who the killer is, I just want them caught and skinned alive.

Mom is in on it up to her eyeballs. She wrote the note.
What kidnapper is going to murder his victim inside the house, then spend ten minutes writing a two page note?
Either Dad or the brother did it.

Sure, I want the guilty to be caught and punished. I would also like to see the mom shot for dressing and promoting JB the way she did the last couple of years of her life.

People will often admit a certain degree of guilt just by virtue of the language that they select when trying to articulate a denial.

After watching the Ramsey TV interviews and the Michael Jackson interviews I am thoroughly convinced that both are guilty of something.

Maybe it was Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King's It. He gloms onto the kid, and slithers down the nearest convenient drain---like the one in the basement.

    We all float down here.....

I wonder: could this be a "motiveless" crime? I keep thinking that one of the key elements of determining "whodunit" is to look at all suspects one by one in terms of motive. Maybe this is a useless approach in this case?....

I think it is clear that the Boulder PD and the prosecuter bungled the investigation from the very beginning. Since people close to murder victims are almost certain to be the top suspects, why would the parents not seek legal council? Being a biologist, I tend to trust DNA findings, if the lab is competent, but I must admit I suspected the brother from the beginning. Now, I don't know. Actually, I never knew, but now I no longer have an opinion. Opinions being common and largely worthless anyway.

Bruno Hauptmann. His fingerprints were found on the ladder.... Wait, that was the Lindbergh murder.

Where was Tonya Harding while all this was going on?.....

I think there is alot more than is being told and for good reason. The truth will surface if it hasnt already,a thought I cant help running through my mind if I was the Investigatorall. Is how hard would it have been for the mother to get DNA body fluids from another man and plant it in the innocent childs under wear. You may say well she wouldnt sale her body, but if and I said if she had anything to do with the death of her daughter saleing her self would be nothing to her.Im not saying the parents had any thing to do with it.When the truth does surface and if the parents are innocent?I guess I should be ashamed of my self, because they appeared to be very loveing parents.I would hate to imagine how they feel if their innocent and every one is pointing a finger at them?

Mommy dearest killed JB and Daddy big bucks, who did not want his reputation smeared in the elitist, decidedly liberal bastion of Boulder, CO masterminded the coverup...

Anyone trained on the finer points of interview and interrogation skills need but watch the TV interviews of Mom and Dad to know they are lying their butts off...

If they are lying, it may well be to protect the son.

As I said, everyone has an opinion and most opinions are worth little.

It does seem clear, from the beauty pagent videos, that this was hardly a "normal" family.

The Boulder cops involved in this should all be fired. How long did they wheedle and whine trying to get mom and dad to come in for an interview? Since when do key witnesses in a murder investigation get to refuse (several times) to be interviewed by the cops? You or I would've been handcuffed and hauled in after the FIRST refusal.

Moms boy friend, or the guy she had messing with JB at the time. Mom was the pimp.

All I know for a fact is that this child deserved a better life than she had, and she deserves more justice than she has now.

I have no doubts whatsoever that there are numerous people who know exactly what happened to her, and by whom. The guilty party, and all those who have aided in the cover-up should be punished to the full extent of the law. Perhaps beyond.

So....The theory is that Mommy Dearest killed the kid, after pimping her out to some pervert? And the mom did this to....What? Prevent the kid from telling everyone what was going on?

    What a gruesome possibility.

If you went by the body language, I'd say the husband was in the dark and mom could be involved. I've never heard Varmint's idea that mom was pimping the girl out to men, but if so, that would be your stranger and that would be why mom looks harder to believe than Daddy sometimes. I'm reminded of the Susan Smith case where the husband was initially clueless that the kids weren't really kidnapped, but drowned by mom. This Mom had the obsession with the pageants and the make-up, having been there herself, so could have snapped at any point along the way.

Anyone entering the home with intent to kidnap and do the rape elsewhere could have written a note if the girl was bound and/or knocked out, then changed their mind for some reason, done it all on the spot, and left by the basement window. But the note reads like an addict's hallucination or a kid's fantasy -- or bad fiction by Mom. I just hope the DNA is useful.
