Best way you will ever eat asparagus!
Mix seasme oil with soy sauce about a 1/8 cup each.
Get grill good and hot a place asparagus on rack. paint on the oil mixture and let cook til gill lines appear. baste again and remove. It will make Asparagus lovers out of doubters.

So yesterday I bought some and gave it a try myself. Really simple cover in some olive oil and sea salt.
Place on grill just after you turn the meat the 1st time. Top rack.
I like to grill mine w/ olive oil and red onions.
will have to try that, do you dice the onions or cook the onions first?
However,it is high on the list of "DO NOT EAT" for those who suffer w/gout.[:(]

* 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
* 1/4 cup white wine
* 2 tablespoons butter
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place asparagus in a microwave-safe dish. Pour in wine, and small pieces of butter.
2. Cover loosely, and cook in the microwave on High for 3 minutes, or until bright green
and tender. Allow the dish to stand 5 minutes before serving.
If you've never tried Pinot Grigio Asparagus ... you should.
