How to make slime

This is too cool[8D][8D] I was watching a show on PBS and they showed how to make slime. You know the stuff you used to get in a little plastic trash can when you were a kid.
You take a bottel of school glue about 4oz put it in a bowel. Add some washabel food coloring. And 1 cup water. Mix it up. Then in another bowel put 1 1/3 cups water and mix in 1/3 cup borax. Then pour in the glue mixture. It will get thick. Then reach in with your bare hands[xx(] and pull it out and kneed it for a few minuts. You can then use it to scare your sister[:0][;)][:D] or freak out your wife[:0][B)]

    Ya'll got too much time on your hands. I think they call it "Gooze" now. I won't let the kids bring it in the house. Looks like a goose had an accident on the carpet.

    Easiest way to make slime is to fill out an application for the Brady Campaign.... [;)]

    I haven't seen Silly Putty in a while but I did grab an old, old box of sealed, unopened Kleen Klay at a garage sale the other day for free. Thought maybe some nostalgia buff on eBay....

    Yep, the borax cross-links the glue's molecular chains. Silly putty also uses borax for this, but it uses a silicone rubber instead of glue.

    Yep, back in advanced chem, we made Silly putty one day with Boric acid and silicone oil. Lots of neat stuff like that can be done with relative ease.
