3/4 Cup water
3/4 Cup ketchup
2 Tablespoons white vinegar
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed chipotle chile pepper
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1) Whisk together all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to boil.
2) Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Bullseye original is good too..
There was nothing original about bullzeye, he was common as dirt.[;)]
Clouder..
....It just so happens that I have a batch simmering right now. No store bought stuff in it though. It's a sauce from my sister's Looooseeanna inlaws. You brown a beef brisket or any kind of roast like rump or round. Then put in a slooow oven, in a couple pints of the sauce.
4-6 cloves minced garlic
a big onion, chopped
4 tbs lemon juice
4 tbs orange juice
1/2 cup worcestershire
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp mustard
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp pepper
Simmer for awhile..
...Trivia: Worcestershire sauce has those little hairy fish in it, anchovies...[:0][;)]
Pete
My wife prefers Woody's--works well on brisket (along with grits).
Pete
Heh-heh, mine too.
Clouder..
sweet baby rays is the best
On a really good thin piece of meat though, nothing beats teriyaki.

Now that's funny, but I'm thinking it will go over a lot of heads here now.[:D]
I like www.stickyfingersONLINE.com for BBQ sauce. They have several different blends that are good.[^]

Heinz 57 is good for the steak and the potatos both. Really good on fries.

i can't believe no one has puonced on that comment yet, you guys are getting slow {stir/stir}
Powdrell's, a local sauce.
Honey Bears in Phoenix makes a great mustard sauce.
A place in Arlington, VA makes the best meat ever, but their sauce sucks.
I used to like Sweet Baby Rays but Famous Daves is by far the best store bought sauce Ive ever had. You can get it at Rural King. Try it and you will see the BBQ light guaranteed!!
I love Sweet Baby Rays its good stuff. THere is a Famous Dave's BBQ in Peoria, IL. And I got to say that its good stuff too, but not to many stores carry the stuff.

Pete
so does mine but the brisket and grits thing is kinda kinky
with a couple drops of this in it...
"Finger lickin' good!"
Sweet, with molasses, honey, cornsyrup, etc. (for kids and city slickers[:D])
and
Authentic, which is not sweet.[8D][:p][8D]
