There is a possibility I will be moving to Bangor, Maine in the near future. I live in western Maryland now and spend Sept-Dec 31st hunting whitetail deer with extremely generous bag limits, and Wild turkey in the spring. What kind of game are in and around Bangor, Maine and what is the hunting like. Also, what are the gun laws like in Maine? Concealed carry, etc. Thanks!!!

hunting in bangor(and surrounding area) is great!! hope you either really like the cold, or are lucky though. plenty of ten pointers out there, you just might have to wait for them is all.

If you can't find game in the greater Bangor region, it will be because you are home watching the tube. Look at the map, dude.

does anyone have something worth while to say. What's the point in quoting me if you've got nothing to say. What's with the van comment, and the look at the map dude quotes. I was asking a serious question. I was hoping this message board could be of some help.

The van question was referring to author Steven King getting hit by a van in Bangor, Maine.

Lighten up dude. Either that or attempt to extricate your head from your *.

If you're that serious about an answer don't go searching on internet message boards and call the warden's office of Maine.

Is that helpful enough for you? *.

I hunt bear up around Patten. Sign up for the moose draw when you get up there. If I didn't live in Indiana Maine or Wyoming would be my choice of states. Anyway the southern part of Maine can use a few good men.

    Roboman,

    Thanks for the link

    No thanks for the attitude.

I was hoping to use the knowledge of the message board since I am not great at doing searches for things on the internet.

    You're welcome.

I use google (www.google.com) for internet searches...you can find almost anything about anything on there.

I've lived five hours from Bangor for the last 28 years. I know some nice folks there. I've seen lots of game on the road or close to the road for years. But my hunting has been in Quebec, New Brunswick and now Massachusetts. Lots of game in Quebec and NB, Lots of red tape in MA, but this year I hope to be able to get a license.

think Maine would be great for hunting! It sure is a beautiful state! And they've got LL Bean, too!
