Carl,I'm either not following the right thread, or not visiting the right site, but refering to your post under Iconoclast's topic talking about looking for info. on deaths relating to firearms vs. other causes (a debate somewhere?):Go to any major book store and get "The World Almanac and Book of Facts" (Primedia Reference Inc.). It will have most all the statistics you need.Example: The "30,000" deaths "by firearms" which the gun control advocates are always throwing around--looking at a breakdown of the statistics, one can see that 18,000 of those are suicides, including 5,000 suicides by people (mostly men) over age 65!Or consider "all" the accidents with guns supposedly taking place in people's homes--in 1998 700 people died from accidents with guns at home, compare that to the 10,700 who died from falls at home! or the 6,300 who were accidentally poisioned! or the 3,300 who died from fires!Get the Almanac to look at the other details. (Especially, the breakdown in age catagories/firearm related deaths--not quite the "epidemic killing our children" the media has made it out to be!)And let me know where this debate is taking place...incase I can't find it myself!Joe
