The title says it all. I just got a call that my Grandmother has passed. She was a wonderful 98 year old woman that served the Lord her entire life. She was bright, cheery and lived alone in her own apartment until 4 months ago when she decided she wanted to move into a retirement home...We knew this was coming but it is still a hard thing.
My family as well as my extented family live 4.5 hours away and will be traveling over the next day or so. Thank you.

You've got it. I can relate. My Grandma who passed at the age of about 78 was a real saint -- it was emphesema from smoking, and I suppose she was ready to go. Miss her still. Have a safe journey.

Sorry to hear about your loss friend. I will be faced with the same news soon I feel as my Grandmother is 104 years old and beginning to fail. She is the sweetest, kindest most wonderful woman I have ever had the blessing to meet in my life. It is truly amazing that a person could see transportation go from horse and buggy to space shuttles. God bless you and your family and comfort you in your loss.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

Thank you all, your prayers and encouragement are greatly appreciated.
I just got home from trying to stuff three days worth of work into one so I can get out to Iowa and take care of things first thing tomorrow. Just taking a few minutes to unwind before finishing getting the car and the kids ready to go...Once again thank you
