Hey Judge,

You keep posting that the "Feds" are monitoring this forum--have you forgotten that this is a PUBLIC forum? ANYBODY can surf by and read what's posted here--including agents of the Federal Government.

Yeah, that's what I just said. Frankly, I imagine the feds may monitor any number of boards at their pleasure, but they're more likely to get tips if some terrorists show up than they are to find them by surfing the whole 'net.

OK! you trace my IP .......

The only way of doing that is SERVER intervention .......

OR management agreeemmmmeeeennnttttt (Snitch) the IP .....

I dont care for the feds having mine (I can arrest bush if "forced" to do so)(If they start to mess with me)But They dont even care if they see me sipping a cup of Afgan coffee with Bin Laden, they will just pick the trash after I am done with him.(Including his body in a bag) No questions ask....

I do care for any poor devil getting all of his gun collection
confiscated because he just expresed a candent opinion and he is persecuted for that opinion...... as if it were a terrorist act....

If we start persecuting our own tax paying hard laboring citizen for
expresing themselves ,that is realy a bad thing ,and is better we become aware of it before it's too late.....

Ever tried to requisite something back from the feds ??????

Remember their statutes are ruled By "INTENT" so if anything looks as
possible "intent" you are "intentionaly" "fried" in a cangaroo box.

Having a wire, a battery, any kind of primer ,fertilizer (plant food)or
an instant cold pack (ammonium nitrate) .....
You never get out of jail..... because all that picked up and put in a box can be made into proof or evidence of "intent" to perform an unlawfull act.....

Any anti-governamental expresion or dissidence can be assumed as
"intent" to resource to unlawfull acts ....

So is as the new sedition act states ....but the american public keeps thinking themselves of being in dreamland, untill the dogs knock at the door and open their eyes wide.....

Consider this post as "Intent" to Inform under the freedom of information act....(Educational)

    HEHEhE !

A persons IP is easily traced.

I used to monitor a chat site, and did it all the time to block a user that was not desired.

You are right ....indeed you are thinking and quite right to say
that is what I mean .....

That trace will be legal under the statutory law ,but is totaly anty-constitutional if the users are not properly informed of such procedures ,and consent to such , here is a sample of such warning

You will see your IP logged at the upper left of the page and the legal warning ..... this is the right way (legal) to do it....
    http://www.nic.mil

A sample of the Detailed warning (for this case) some apply to this forum other not....

Anybody who knows where to go on the net can download any number of programs to trace the route to an IP and even give the e-mail address of the person in question. I do it myself when there's cause, as nunn has reason to know (heheheheh). (We had a little virus problem a while back....)

There's no trick to it - the software makes it automatic, and it's readily available if you know where to look and can sidestep the potential viruses, worms and backdoors hackers ALSO love so much. If you were hoping to be anonymous when you log on, as to your whereabouts, I'm sorry to pop your balloon (!).

As for the DOD, they make their own rules, by the thousands of pages. I used to work at Magnavox as a technical writer on mil-spec software (AFATDS, versions 1 and 2). I know they are not going to let your tail wag their dog. The DOD is like the 800 pound gorilla -- they sit wherever they want.

I have software that after you enter the IP you can block it out. The name of it excapes me right now but I will have it in the morning for those who are intrested.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

Any good firewall software can block unwanted IPs; however, a lot of malicious programs (and SPAM) are designed to bounce around and come at you from a random IP. Since most ISPs have a policy prohibiting both SPAM and malicious activity, if you can get the ID of the sender you can report them to their own internet service provider, effectively putting them on notice or cancelling their account if they've already had bad reports. But more often, you can't identify the origin of SPAM. I've had more luck identifying virus origins than SPAM origins. But then I get enough SPAM that I prefer to use a SPAM blocker rather than do route searches for every message. So far, anyway.

One of the IP tracing programs is neo-trace....

one of the most famous "hacker" tools was sub-seven ....no longer effective unless you "exept" it from the rules patching the Anty virus software by means of a file within malicious code ...
    (No Hints)

Other tools are satan, green dragon, carnivore, raptor, blue chip, intruder, and my favorite (Stargate) ...
This last ones were developed at "Magilla Gorilla" works with sponsoring of Mickey Mouse Works and PEPE Le Pew (Skunk works).

But offeror you are deviating yourself from dirrectly answering the question!Does the forum management is providing the IPs for goverment review ??????

Darn! this is getting like a 'forums' "Watergate"

    Judge,

I don't see anything being posted here which one couldn't or shouldn't say in public--with one's real name attached.

It looks like you're worried that there are "cells" in the government, made-up of bureaucrats with "Hitleristic" dreams, who are keeping a catalog list of members here--and are generally trying to destroy the foundations of freedom in this country?

I'll agree, I don't like the direction our government is headed! Some of it is evil; most of it is just incompetence. (I don't like incompetence generally; and I especially dislike it when displayed by men and women carrying guns who have taken oaths to "serve and protect"! )

Since I'm already "on their lists"--from "past activities", they really don't need to find the IP address, then contact my ISP to identify me. A simple email would be a whole lot easier.

I could care less who is monitoring my posts. i am like Popeye in that respect.I am what I am and thats all thatI am. I am neither totally Right all the time or wrong. Either like me because you want or deprive yourself of an honest friend that will stick in every instance.the choice is yours and quite frankly I neither have the desire or energy to be everyones friend. but I am always me, and I have been around long enough to earn that right.
