    I voted...but it doesn't seem like its going to matter much. 19% for sales, 89% AGAINST. Even the way that it is described is biased. Anyone who is sitting on the fence, after reading the pros and cons listed will quickly vote against.

    I voted, but man was that question biased / loaded; someone had an axe to grind, that is really the first time I've seen them skew a question really badly. Change in management / ownership to Ted Turner????

    I would like to know their definition of a sniper rifle. couldnt any scoped high powered rifle could be considered a sniper rifle, is that what they want, Our long range bambi guns? Y'all can have mine when you take it from my .............you know the rest.

    Somebody on this board recently said the typical sniper distance in recent times has been maybe 200 yards. That puts every scoped rifle that shoots straight (and many slug guns) into the sniper category. Apparently 'sniper' is the latest buzzword of the antis, to be added to "assault" and "loophole" as among the most transparent fact-fudgers in history. Unless you count the fact that they also fear guns that are black in color. By the way, the most accurate rifles used by snipers are generally bolt action, as we all know, so suddenly they're complaining about the other end of the spectrum. What are they going to do, ban big bullets too? 45-70s and 30-06? We may all be shooting the .17 Hornady at 2550 fps some day, and then they'll be complaining about high-powered BB-sized projectiles, which will probably explode a watermelon just as thoroughly as a .44 magnum ever did. I once wrote a letter to the editor in Los Angeles saying that if I'm going to protect my home I'd like to be able to do it with something a little newer than the six-shooters the cowboys were using over a century ago. They printed it. Didn't do much good. If I ever go back to CA, I don't think I'll even be able to take my M1 Carbine -- which I bought there, once upon a time. I swear there's something in the air out there that makes people loonie. A friend of mine says somebody tilted the country at some point in the past, and all the goofballs rolled downhill to California.
