Picked up some leather dye today. Got a good first coat on the sling that I was dying. Then 10 minutes later I realized I'd done the wrong sling!! Doh!!Serves me right for starting a project at 9:00 pm on a sunday night!

Remember I was doing a "home blue job" on a barrel. Had three bottles; One was a blue rust remover, another was a cleaner degreser, and the third was the blue.Had to apply the blue rust remover, and then I had to alternate coats of degreaser and blue. After doing this about six times, the barrel was looking sweet. I then went to apply another coat of degreaser, and suddenly the blue started coming off, and there were streeks all over the barrel. I then realized I dipped into the rust and blue remover barrel, when I thought it was the degreaser. I was annoyed, and live with the streaks in the barrel. So it goes.
