Can anyone explain how one goes about posting pictures for an auction.
I have a digital camera. What else do I need, or do I have to do? I have no idea.

Can you get the pictures onto your computer?

    Salzo --

this is one of those conversations that would be great for a live chat room, where you can ask and I can answer.

If you have a digital camera, you probably have a means of saving the photos onto your computer after you've shot them. The camera manual will probably explain how.

If the photos are not already saved as "jpg," like photo1.jpg, photo2.jpg, then open each photo in your computer's image software and use the Save As... command to save them as .jpg format. You can pick that from the scroll-down list when you 'Save As....' That's what Save As.. is for -- changing the file's name and/or format.

Often, an auction site will allow you to upload one photo for free with each auction. When you come to the point in filling out the auction form where it asks for your photo image, follow the instructions carefully, use the provided Browse button(s) to find that photo on your computer drive and select it, usually by double-clicking. That should cause the auction form to register that as your auction photo and upload it to their site while you wait. Then, finish filling out your auction form and post your auction.

The other way to post a photo to your auction is to first upload the photo to a site of your own, like a gallery page at alloutdoorschat.com, and then when the auction form asks for you to fill in the location of your photo, type in the entire URL address where the photo is located on the 'net, like http://gallery.alloutdoorschat.com/yourname/photo1.jpg . That's all there is to it. Further questions are welcome.

Thanks Offeror- I can get the photos on my computer(or I have done that). But I am going to have to refresh my memory on the process. After I do that, Ill follow your instructions. Thanks.
