The longest ten days

Waiting ten damn days to pick up my firearm has got to make time go by so slowly. Anyone think that Mr. Ashcroft has done enough to make these Kalifornia gun laws go away? By the way, I bought one of them ported Glocks at my wife's request. She hates not having a pistol in the house. She also said I can't trade this one off on another rifle. Takes the fun right out don't she?

She gave you an opening to get you a new pistol, then you can have his and hers, we have insta-check over the phone takes about 3 to 5 minutes but can only buy one gun a month

Ten days? Ten days! It took me 180 days from the time I decided to get a pistol until NY State decided it was OK for me to have one. One. If I want another, I have to get a judge to OK it first.

I feel for you guys. That 10 day or 180 days to purchase a gun is a bunch of crap. Its always only taken me about 10 minutes to buy any of mine.

No waiting period, hmmmmmmm, I remember those days in Alabama. If only I were an Arizona resident I could enjoy the same luxuries as then. Keep that chopper warmed and the blades turnin', I will keep stompin' on KA and one day it will slide into the pacific. I can swim good but ya'll got to get me before I tire out.

Shoot, all this is foreign to me. The only waiting period I ever experienced was the 3 days I had to wait after I got my marriage license. Now THAT was when I needed a long cooling-off period.

Indiana being a "shall issue" state with language very close to the Second Amendment, all I have to do is show my carry permit and pay the man. But hey, my Constitution has a Bill of Rights attached. I don't know about you guys.

Pretty simple really . . . states / cities with the high crime rates have the most restrictions on lawful possession. Prof. Lott's research made what was intuitively clear to us a matter of scientific record. The mushbrains refuse to be confused by logic nor by facts.

Indiana is great. Some of my fellow officers blew a gasket when they found the carry permit had more clout than a uniform, ID, and badge.
Here auctions are good too. No paperwork. Only attend auctions that have a few guns otherwise, you pay out the nose.

Really 270 how sorry do you expect me to feel for a guy whose wife wants him to buy her a new gun? You must have missed all those "How am I gonna sneak it past my wife," and "How will I ever get the money outta my wife" posts around here. You got it way too good man!

Come to Arizona, it's a done deal in less than 15 minutes, considering you are clean.

In Florida most counties are hip, mine is not huh! There is a 3 day wait on all firearms unless LE or consealed carry permit. At a gun showw I traded one rifle for two others and I had to wait 3 days to pick them up. This is silly, when I was a kid this wait would have killed me. Hell it still does! Patience? Why? But 10 days, thats grounds to revolt!

    Shoot straight!

Boy, waiting periods, that must suck, it usually takes me a grand total of 10 minutes to get a gun. I just fill out the yellow form, and the dealer calls in the insta-check system, they clear me, and I'm outa there.

I wish I had a girl that made me buy guns like Mrs. will270win, your a lucky guy, I usually have to make up excusses or lie to my girl about it. "No baby, I've had this one, I just had it stored at my parents house..."

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Yes waiting periods stink. However I usually spend several months researching and planing my next "can't live without". So the waiting period is just another research period.
