My son today, at the age of 16 (7-11-02) flew a Cessna 172, all alone and I would like to tell all of you- I am so proud of him. I have a fine boy (man). I thank God for such wonderfull kids. Thats what we have worked so hard to accomplish. I was more afraid to see him do this than him, if I would have lost him- I don't know what I'd do!!
Kids are GREAT!

Congradulations Daddo you should be proud.Sounds like you did something right in raising the fine young man! Maybe you should share the secret with the rest of the Nation.

    Best of Luck.

You have every reason to be proud of him. Most kids cany even handle a car at his age.You have obviously instilled some fundamentals that are few and far between these days.I hope one day I can get up there and go myself as Im green with envy.

theres nothing l;ike your first solo flight!!!! let me tell you it is a rush. you should be very proud and supportive. my dad did everything he could to dicourage me but i did it anyway. he always said he would wipe me up off the runway with a shop towell but i flew with the birds and ejoyed the heck out of it. i hope he and you get as much pleasure out of it as i did.
