Uberti, customer service gone to hell?

By now you all know of the buyout of Uberti USA by Benelli/ Beretta firearms, well, somewhere along the way the quality factor went in the crapper. personal experiences I've had involve an 1858 Uberti "millenium' Remington revolver, stored new in my safe for a little over a year. took it out the other day, and just on a whim ran a dowel down the bore to check cylinder/bore alignment well,, found it off by about three thousanths of an inch! called Uberti "customer service" asked for the price of a new cylinder. what I got was a royal runaround. Anyone else had any problems of this sort with this company? I am at the point, where I will NOT buy, nor own their products. Remember the good old days before the American firms like S&W caved in to the liberals? when a product was backed by good old quality assurance? what happened????????

Nothing has changed at all, and its not just you. I ordered a barrel from them for my muzzle loader, it came without the ram rod thongs and under rib, and took a year to get to me, that was in 98. I ordered another barrel for the same gun, cause the gunsmith ruined the old one working on it, I ordered it in 99, and still havent received it. I'll never buy a product from them, never have, inherited the muzzle loader. Needless to say I have a beautiful muzzle loader minus a barrel for it. I dont even care anymore. Uberti customer service is the worst in the industry.
