Hey bud, not sure what happened with the emails when you was in P-burg, I kept getting ones from you saying you was having trouble sending them and they was getting returned. I replied to them but got no answers. Anyhow I remember you saying that you may be up here for deer season, if you like going on deer drives let me know. We go on a drive each year that is quite impressive but would scare the crap out of someone who doenst hunt drives. 1 drive can take all day and my goodness do the deer get hammered, the one two years ago almost had me feeling sorry for the deer, we boxed them in a big hollow tith nothing but guns surrounding them front and back and to the top plus there was a big 'ol lake on the bottom, nowhere for them to run!! The drive came to a stop and guns barked steady back and forth for 45 minutes, when we was done it took 4-5 trips with a pontoon boat to bring all the deer to the parking area, and YES every single one of them was legally tagged! Either that or there are some really farms that I like to sit on with the kids and we always get shootin. As much as I love my .223, if you want to go on a drive you maybe better bring something with alot of heft to it, a .243 perhaps?! The farm shootin the .223 does all you will ever need it to do. 200 yard headshots make deer dead fast.
Anyhow let me know what your plans are, always lookking forward to meeting people and introducing folks to the wonderfull world of REDNECK HUNTING. There are no trophy hunts here, 100% meat hunting. Although if you see a nice buck shoot it but I never hold out for one, if it's legal it dies. Let the horn hunters pass up the smaller deer, more meat for me.
