Some people just shouldn't be allowed to breed
EVERY SINGLE large group of immigrants have had their own "culture".
Look at Chicago, San Francisco, etc......all had their "Germantowns" "China Towns" etc......
Whenever large groups of citizens from any one country settle into the US, they end up with their own newspapers, etc in their own languages. Look it up.......huge amounts of Polish in Chicago in the 20s/30s, Germans in the Midwest in the late 1800s, Irish.....etc. They all started out with their own newspapers, and tight-knit communities. How many are left? Just goes to show you how much of a "threat" there really is.
Sorry, but it is true.
AND IT IS A MOOT POINT!
Time has shown that within 3 generations, the descendants are "Americans", who have lost most of their "culture".
Was just speaking to one of my Muslim friends about this today. She is upset that her son doesn't want to go to the Mosque every day. He was born here......he has about 30% of the religious devotion she does.....his son will have even less, I'm sure.
Anyway, my point about people getting upset about people speaking Spanish, Chinese, etc is just silly. They end up speaking English! It is inevitable......
Another thing just occured to me: My friend Rob is of Hispanic descent. His grandfather came over here in the early 1900s. His dad was born here, and speaks perfect spanish. Robs speaks hardly ANY, and his 5 year old speaks NONE!
Thats four generations.
Anyway.......much ado about nothing.
