On Tuesday I will celebrate a new edition to the gun safe. I will have waited my 10 day california "screwing with" period and will pick up my Micro-Medallion in 22 Hornet. Certainly you will all be online to enjoy a bit of Cognac and a fine cigar to help me celebrate, yes?

I'll be sipping and smoking in Michigan to help celebrate your newest addition to the family...While wearing a flannel-lined smoking jacket, of course...

Scott5792, This new xp(new to me) is one of the old models in .223. It's got a custom thumbhole walnut stock and a 3x9 Burris. Was 620. including shipping. 14and1/2 inch barrel. Shoots under .600 with three factory loads and I haven't even tinkered with it yet!!

Sure I will. One question. When do I get to shoot it?

Any members of this board wishing to shoot any of my guns may report to the 29 Palms Pistol & Rifle Club Range on Pinto Mountain Road in the Not so great city of 29 Palms.I am always there on Saturday mornings about 0900 or so. After some shooting we can go to Andrea's and have a house omelette, a cup of jo, and some mighty fine home fries.

I hear you, Will. My TDSWP is up next Thursday, so I am taking Friday off to shoot my newly acquired Ruger #1 in .458 Win Mag. It's like making a new friend.

I got it, finally! The High Desert Tattoo and Gun Shop opened as scheduled a day late and the little gun is here. Time for that smoke and drink. The smoking lamp is lighted! Yes, lighted, the correct military term. Puff away boys, the scope will be here Wednesday of next week and them rabbits are done with a capital DO.

GHD PS. If this damn wind don't lay, it might be a while before I connect again with the little 223!!! I thought the young head full of mush, Bullzeye would like that!!

I think Bullzeye is a big caliber feller like Jeff Cooper. Probably shoot flies with a 45-70. That's okay by me, big is good, but small is fun. (had to poke at ya BZ)

Do you think an Aetec scope is to big? (2.8-10X50) Too late, already ordered.
