On wednesday, January 16, 2002 I was out at the ranch. The wind was not bloeing in the morning so I decided to burn a few, 10, brush piles. One particular brush pile was very large and was covering an area where an old tree was once rooted. A previous burn burnt the roots out of the ground causing a little network of osama tunnels. After i had dumped a lot of chainsaw gas all over the brush i stood with the wind at my back and threw a matchinto the pile of wood. About 3 minutes after the pilewent up in a blaze, a flaming yote came busrting out of the brush pile. He did not make it far, i think about 30 yards before he fell over.songdog
