Sentences not good enough!

New York-AP) -- Followers of Osama bin Laden who carried out the bombings of two U-S embassies in Africa are being sentenced today to life without parole.The first of the four defendants to be sentenced today was Khalfan Khamis Mohamed (KAHL'-fahn KAH'-mis moh-HAH'-med). He was followed by Mohamed Al-'Owhali (ahl-oh-WAHL'-ee), and then Mohamed Sadeek Odeh (sah-DEEK' oh-DAY').While the sentence was automatic for the first two of those men, Odeh was convicted of a lesser role and had been eligible for a lesser sentence.Speaking in court, Odeh criticized the Clinton administration for bombing Afghanistan after the embassy attacks.His lawyer said after the sentencing that Odeh "was a soldier in the military wing of al-Qaida." He also says Odeh saw the embassy attacks as a strike against the U-S for its support of Israel.Before today's sentencing, the wife of one of the embassy bombing victims said, "There's nothing you could do to these individuals that would soothe the sorrow that haunts me."The bombings in Kenya and Tanzania killed 231 people, including 12 Americans.

    Life without parole in a prison full of sodomites is a just sentence for these murdering scum. Why give them the death sentence and make them "martyrs"? I think the other prison inmates will make their life hell on earth.

    Yes, this was my first thought, they should be locked up with convicts that would make little girls out of them, but my son said he saw an interview with some of the terrorists convicted in the first World Trade Center bombing, and they seemed to be living in luxury. Three meals better than they ever had before, leisure time, television, Playboy Channel, etc. Now if they were on the rock pile making little stones out of big ones I might agree on life sentences. But for now I would rather see them hanged publicly and left hanging till they decompose.

    You all know that when they go to jail they will be protected by uncle sam. The governmant wouldn't want the world of moslems to know that their heros are being used as protologist experiments.     They'll be given a diet in accordance with their religious beliefs, access to a law library to work on appeals, govt. paid lawyers to suck the public dry while pretending to work for the convicts, special accommodations to practice their religious services...Ah yes, Afghanistan was never this good.
