this is what happens. Seems Grandpa left a pretty hefty collection.

Would be a little hard for me to bid 35 grand for something on the internet. For that price I would need to hold it. But a very nice model 21. I'm no expert. Is it worth it??

    Thats really sad.

Anything to make a buck, I guess.

I'd give anything to have my grandfather's war trophies....they were stolen shortly after he got home [:(]

I don't understand why someone would want to sell a part of history that their grandfather was involved in. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I hope they keep some of his collection. I still have all my grandfathers items from World War II.

It's a nice M21, but shows a little wear, and $35K will buy an engraved, gold inlaid, 3 barrel set in that condition. i think.

    Greed.
There is no way most people would ever have a chance to own or even see a collection like that, why someone would split it up is beyond me.

All that stuff should be in a museum. And by museum I mean "my house."

Don't hold your breath on selling any of that at those prices.

Now if she really wanted to make a buck, she would start all those off at a penny with no reserve!

Notice no bids on any item.

Even if the prices were accurate the current downturn might lessen the desire.

+1. Greed. Pure unadulterated greed. Seller has money. Look at the rings on the hands in the photos. They're trying to get all they can get.[:(]
Can't see this collector bringing all the German stuff back in a duffle bag.

I can not remember where. But I have saw this entire collection listed on another site somewhere not to long ago. The only difference is the Sellers name and the starting prices which were lower than she/he has them listed here.

If she wanted to sell the entire gun collection. She should have contacted Cabelas or another top of the line gun dealer first. Cabelas would have snatched up a bunch of them from the seller.

maybe she isn't aware that some collectors would give an arm and a leg to have that collection. maybe she doens't know that cabela's would look at buying it all. maybe somebody should tell her.

If you don't sell off all your guns before you die your wife might sell them for what you told her you paid for them.[:D][:)][^]

I don't have kids so I'm hoping that when I die at the ripe old age of 95 my twin 19 year old wives fight over my belongings.
