longest you've waited for a gun

What is the longest amount of time any of you have waited for a new gun to be devivered after buying it from a dealer?I ask because I ordered a glock two months ago from my local gun shop and it hasn't arrived yet. I usually make it a point to only buy guns that are in stock, so before I get worried about it I thought I'd see if this sort of thing happens regularly. Thanks.

When Browning intoduced the Model 12 I ordered one of the engraved High Grade models...after about 15 months I told the dealer I'd lost interest and would like to have something else....he agreed so I spent $2200 on a custom pistol. Wasn't two months later and the Model 12 arrived....didn't have the money to get it. Have been burned more than once on gun companies that introduce a new item and then can't deliver it to the market place in a timely manner.

GLocks have been tough because of a back log at factory. What model are you after I may have it here or can find out how long your looking at. Email me at jmarino69@hancock.net.

A dealer friend of mine mentioned a few weeks ago that he was having trouble getting Glocks in from the factory, when I was looking for a G27. It's not obvious everywhere because some dealers still have many in stock. I don't know what's going on in Smyrna.

I checked with a few wholesalers last week for the popular models in Glock and Sig. They have been on order from the factory since the first of the year but have not seen anything yet. The majors need to take care of their other contracts first before they ship out their extras to the civilian market.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a Glock 26, but unfortunately i paid for it in full when I placed the order. I went to the shop this afternoon and asked about it and apparently there are a bunch of others that have outstanding orders, as well. If I hadn't already bought a holster I'd tell him to forget it and give me credit toward a SA 1911.
