Now you know why I moved to Arizona five years ago.

Even when stopped by LEO and you have a gun in your car all he/she can do is run the gun to see if it's reported stolen. Cannot run serial number check to verify that you are the owner.

Definitely one of the best when it comes to gun laws.

    Gun Show Checks

Background checks are now required for Gun Show weapon purchases if buying from a registered dealer. If you are buying from an individual standing in the parking lot it's between the two of you.

I am a 3rd generation Arizonan. My father and grandfather were born here before Arizona was admitted as a state. I never intend to leave Arizona.

Thanks for the info. I'm a CA resident and I'm jealous beyond belief! I got into the gun game about three years ago, a mere month after the ban on 10-round clips. Great timing. Did you know that our state has an approved list for trigger locks and gun safes? If you buy a gun that doesn't have an assigned "approved" safety device, you can't take ownership of it! I local retailer has a gun I want but he can't sell it to me because it doesn't have an approved lock. Asinine!

My question. Can a CA resident buy guns at gun shows in Arizona? Two years ago I tried to buy a CA legal rifle in Las Vegas. When I gave him my driver's license to complete the Brady, he informed me that he isn't allowed to sell any gun to a CA resident. Is this true at gun shows? Never having been to a gun show, does this mean that I can pick out what I want, put down some cash and walk out with a gun?

    Thanks!

I belong to Jensens. I shoot there once or twice a week. If anyone wants to meet there and shoot, let me know. I have passes. :)

Or go anywhere else to shoot, for that matter!

NO! You may not have my guns! Now go crawl back into your hole!

Yes, Arizona is one of the best states to live in if you are a gun owner. One problem exists. We need to get rid of McCain, period.
Arizona residents need to be aware of the following. If a law enforcement officer runs your vehicle license plate they will know that the owner/owners are licenced CCW holders and the officer will be advised by their dispatch that you are.Same goes for your driver's license.Nothing wrong with that as long as you are aware of it.
    Proper prcedure to follow?
Keep your hands on the steering wheel and advise the officer you have a gun in the vehicle, where it is and that you are a CCW holder.

I was born in Texas and intend to die here. But I've looked at a lot of other areas...and if I ever moved from here, it would be to Arizona. Once you taste freedom, you can't live without it.

I can't imagine living in California or New York...or Massachusetts. I wouldn't make a good "subject."

Where is jensens?? I am going to my range early before that heat wave. I will be trying some 22-250 loads I made, phx rod and gun is beside the phx police academy(7th ave. and baseline) just follow 7th ave to the mountain. I am the guy with the silver ford excursion and will be at the high power rifle range. Non members are 5.00 but the first one to find me is my guest and no charge. So if any one is interested it opens at 7am for shooting.

Yes Az is great , sometimes wish we were still there....but the price of housing (and crime factors) in Tucson helped us move to S.E.Tn ,
loved working (as a L.E.O.) there , the climate is great , and just love the gun laws....by the way , shop around , jensens is a little pricey........
