stupid exerpt from a check out line book

The book is called "Survive Anything" and I bought it for craps and giggles while in the check out line at the supermarket a few days ago. I was reading through it and found something stupid that i wanted to share with the rest of you.


PROTECTION

There may come a time that you'll need to defend your loved ones and protect your carefully collected storehouse of food and supplies.

If you choose to keep firearms, make sure they are properly liscensed. Keep them - and all ammunition - locked up and out of reach or children. So far so good, I understand some states require liscenses for hand guns etc, here comes the stupid part. Therer are alternatives to firearms, of course. A baseball bat is a much safer and can be an equally powerful weapon of protection.



Now, I ask you...if this is the case, why would police officers need guns. I mean, Baseball bats are just as powerful right?

    Didn't any of you guys see the movie "The Coneheads"? In the movie, Baldar(sp), played by Dan Akroyed, kills the giant beast with a makeshift gulf club and a round stone by hitting the stone like a gulf ball into the beasts mouth, consequently choking it to death. I know I'm pretty dangerous with a gulf club. Maybe we should just leave gulf balls all over the floors of our homes and if someone breaks in start swinging the clubs sending gulf balls flying at the criminals. NOT.

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
