Lawsuit Filed Over Concealed Weapon's Law10:11 a.m. EST February 7, 2002 - Several Oakland County residents have filed a lawsuit involving the state's new concealed weapons law against the city of Ferndale. The residents are reportedly upset because the city bans concealed weapons inside its municipal buildings. One woman involved in the suit said that she carries her gun because of reports of attacks in the area. She said that the ban in certain buildings violates her constitutional rights. The new law allows cities to ban concealed weapons on public property.
