Good Lord! Does it ever end!? I'm almost to the point where I won't buy off the Internet anymore! If GI Joes doesn't carry it, I won't own it!I just got my order of M1A magazines in from www.aimsurplus.com today. They never emailed me or called me to tell me that my order had shipped. Well, it arrived today. The magazines were all listed as "Brand New: Guarnteed To Function". Wel, I'm sure they'll function, but they look like S**T! They're covered in packing grease (which I'm not griping about, THAT'S normal!), but they have some kind of gross, white, powdery, slimy residue all over them. Not only that, one of the four mags was missing ALL the pieces! I got three functioning mags and a SHELL! No follower, no spring, no buttplate! ARGH! Don't these bastards know that I'm trying to quit smoking!?!?!?!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
Stand and be counted. They can kill me, but there will always be more like me. Got President? Evil in 2012!

Evil, take it easy. First, DON'T smoke a cigarette. Seriously, I know you want one but you're doing great...so don't.And, I too got screwed on a recent M1A mag purchase. I got 4 mags, all of which would fall out of my rifle after firing one round (the little block welded to the side was too thin).Try to contact the seller and tell them that what they sent you was crap and demand a refund or exchange. If they don't give it to you give them a fat F feedback rating and post their name on the GB forum as somebody to avoid. G36

So the thread doesn't go poof:I'm NOT refering to a GB transaction! This transaction went down totally independant of GB! Super Monkey has dropped their site name on numerous occasions, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Speaking of which, where is that dirty Simian....

I'm still a non-smoker!I only paid $12.95 each. They're Western brand, not the USGI. I'm still looking for a wholesaler who carries the USGI mags so that I can buy a buttload of 'em. I figure I'll keep some and sell off the rest to break even. Any of the FFL's here know who wholesales the M1A USGI magazines? I know Springfield Armory offers dealer pricing on them, but their "dealer price" is higher than retail! Springfield Armory retails 'em at $95, or something like that!

Great news! Hang in there. 12.95???? Save your money, (note, not same as "save up" your money) buy USGI only. Check Gun List for a wholesaler. I saw what I bought before buying. Seems most run about 55.-60.00 for the USGI.

Evil ... your getting to be quite the slut around here! Seriously, Dont buy anymore cheep mags as they are another case of NOT GETTING what you paid for ... I bought 2 cheap ones two, now the only thing I use them for is to stuff a rag into when I clean my rifle, it helps soak up an extra solvent so it doesn't soak into the stock. Its not really that hard to quit smoking ... I've done it 100's of times Keep up the good job.

Have avoided the "quiting smoking" items, simply due to time. Good luck. I quit in 1979,1980,1981,several times each. It has been a while, and it doesn't happen as much as it used to, but I still get the urge for a cigarette every now and then. But I don't smoke, so I just ignore it.Once you beat the habit of lighting up, the nicotine habit isn't as hard to beat.Or may it has decreased by then to be beatable.Try to stay out of the places you light up without thinking for a while. I had to quit drinking to do it, and quit getting out of bed in the morning... A million different ways, but only one is going to work for you.Find it! You will be glad you did. I am. Sandman2234

Suggestions:Send payment with sellers advertisement, conditions, copy of ad, etc. via USPS. Depending on $$$ maybe even certified w/ return recipt, and addressee only.Request shipment via USPS, even if a little more $$$. If any "mistakes", misrepresentations, false ads, multiple problem transactions, etc are done, and complaints made to USPS, you better believe the "perps" will crap bricks when the USPS inspectors send letters, or go knocking on doors. UPS (OOPS), and FED X have very little muscle compared to Uncle Sam.Saves you filing legal complaints thru your local law offices, saves time, money, and your taxes dollars get the job done. Takes a little time, and you may have to do some homework, but what a hammer. Most cheaters will cough up the product, or money, when threatened. Their guts too if letters, and knocks on the door are heard.

Just went over to Johnson's Gunshop in Adrian Michigan. He has unopened USGI M-14 mags for $50 apiece. Yes that's not a tremendous price but it is a good price and you get to open the actual packaging from 1964 or whenever it was packed. I bought two; opened one and was delighted with what I got. If anyone wants Johnson's number I can provide it; they do advertise in the Gun List though so you can find info on them there. Beach

I just got 4 new GI M-14 mags for $39.95 a piece from www.coledistributing.com I HIGHLY recommend them. They threw in 2 waterproof, belt mountable M-14 Mag pouches at no extra charge, was very surprised as they're decent quality pouches, at no additional cost. All 4 mags were unused, Borg Warner, Winchester, and Killeen Machine tool manufactured, not a spot of rust on them, though they weren't in their original bags, but were unused. You can get can excellent quality GI mags from them for $31.95-$36.95, and they offer a bulk discount for 10 or more mags.
